Telemann and His Friends in Paris in 1737; Future Baroque 1 at London Festival of Baroque Music

  • St John's Smith Square St John's Smith Square London, SW1P 3HA UK (map)

Ensemble Molière are delighted to make their debut appearance at the London Festival of Baroque Music as a Future Baroque artist.

In 1737, Telemann visited Paris at the invitation of some of the greatest musicians of the time, including Blavet, Guignon, and Forqueray. During this visit, the 12 sets of “Paris Quartets” were performed by the aforementioned musicians, with Telemann himself on harpsichord – making friends by making music!
